Zendaya

What I learned

Zendaya's slate just got stacked, and @FilmUpdates laid it all out

The rundown of DUNE: PART THREE (dir. Denis Villeneuve), BE MY BABY (dir. Barry Jenkins), SHREK 5, and an untitled A24 sci-fi pulled 14,955 likes and 986 reposts on October 15. @_filmcrave ran the same list with the full DUNE cast - Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy - clearing 726 likes. Deadline confirmed the Alex Garland A24 film shoots next year, with plot details kept under wraps, and The Hollywood Reporter frames it as the latest chapter in her ongoing A24 relationship, with filming now expected to start in 2027. Variety reports she's eyeing a Best Actress Oscar submission for DUNE 3. A Pinterest roundup of her "Last 5 Major Film Appearances" made the same case visually, calling out how she's moved between superhero franchises, sci-fi epics, intense dramas and mythological adventures like The Odyssey on her way to becoming one of Hollywood's most exciting stars.

Tom Holland is tap-dancing for a Fred Astaire biopic, and Zendaya spilled it

Her line "my husband, yes, he's putting his tap shoes back on" lit up r/popculturechat with 8,458 points and 380 comments. The top reply from u/nachonachoooo - "I would not look good with a pixie" - hit 5,004 upvotes, while u/prisonerofazkabants noted "fred astaire didn't want a biopic, although it seems like his estate is involved. but tom is going to eat that role" (2,093 upvotes). That "my husband" line lands against a now-confirmed timeline: Holland told "Access Hollywood" at the SAG Actor Awards that "the wedding has already happened, you missed it," a claim Page Six and Variety both tied to a June Esquire cover story in which he said family members "were all there" and added, "that's all you'll get on that." NBC News and Rolling Stone both logged his near-confirmation without a fully explicit yes, while Page Six, People and The Daily Beast later reported a private reception in August at a luxury country estate and hotel in Holland's native UK. InStyle adds that Zendaya herself hard-launched the married status with a cheeky fan exchange caught on video back in July. She dropped the Fred Astaire news during the same press run where clips of her sitting down with Jimmy Fallon keep circulating as evergreen interview fodder. The whole Spider-Man No Way Home cast is still meme fuel too, with daily_laughhub pairing Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon in split-screen reaction reels pulling 7,663 views.

Zendaya crashed her nephew's senior night looking like a movie star

theybf_daily clocked 42,686 likes on the story of her showing up for Folsom High School football star EJ Coleman, a Washington State commit, on October 25. gleamygleamyglamglam summed up the fit: "the fur coat, sunglasses at night and laid hair is giving MOVIE STAR and I'm here for it!" (25 likes).

Paris Fashion Week got the full Zendaya treatment for Louis Vuitton Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027

r/Zendaya ran the show post to 1,880 points, and a candid of her shopping Paris in a leather trench coat added another 427 points. The Paris moment went viral beyond Reddit too - yehielchekroune caught her at a restaurant there for 715,870 views and 153,475 likes.

Her second On co-created collection dropped as a full action-movie campaign

On unveiled the collection October 1 with "making movement look effortless as ever, in the latest collection co-created with Zendaya and @luxurylaw," racking up 542,292 likes and nearly 5 million views. A follow-up nunchuck class reel with the same collab pulled 283,642 likes and 4.5 million views.

Polymarket gives a Zendaya-Pattinson reunion a 10% chance

The market on whether the two will have another film together announced in 2026 sits at just 10% Yes, 90% No, up 1.5% this week before it closes January 1. The pairing's not pure fantasy - Pattinson's already named in the DUNE: PART THREE cast lists circulating on X.

Ben Affleck put Zendaya at the center of the "dying movie star" debate

He told Variety that studios once invested heavily in turning actors into household names, pointing to Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Elordi as modern stars but arguing fewer performers are known by everyone. filmmakerlife_ carried it to 384 likes. The counterpoint lives on YouTube, where Uncle Oscar's "No Celebrity Has ZERO Filter Like Zendaya" cut drew @moongoddessmeow1045's "I've never seen a woman pull off literally any and every look the way she does" (417 likes). Even outside entertainment media, her profile is getting packaged for education, a GitHub pull request for the arisereader project lists her among the first batch of source-checked, photo-credited Minute Reads alongside Coco Gauff, Billie Eilish and Naomi Osaka, each a roughly 600-word profile with a verified source list.
